Some of you know of my husband's history and a number of you do not. My husband was born in Portugal 50 years ago this month. Here is the kicker...in Portugal, you are not born until your father signs your birth certificate. Soooooooooo, even though his mother gave birth in January, his father did not sign his birth certificate until March and all of his documentation shows his birthday as March 16th. Now, according to my husband, this should be a cause for celebration for the entire time, kind of like Chanukah. He believes he should have a gift every day between January and March. There are 49 days in between each birthday...hmmmmmmm. Wait...this is a leap year...there are 50 days in between!!!!
