Could someone explain this concept to me? Why do we tip our mail person and our garbage men during the holidays? They do get paid each week like the rest of us, don't they? I work with the public each day, am I suppose to get tipped during the holidays for doing my job? The job that pays me each week, 52 weeks of the year? So why are we gifting our hairdressers, mail people, garbage men, etc. for doing their job? If someone can come up a reasonable explanation for this concept, I am all ears, and may re-think things. I doubt it though!
