Yes, I know...it has been forever since I posted to this blog, not enough hours in a day. Now that school is back in session for most of the country, and everyone is anticipating the beginning of the fall season, I am going to hold on to summer just a little longer. Oh, who am I kidding, I live in Florida, I get summer 9 months out of the year...LOL. Anyway, this is some reminiscing from this summer...
My boss decided to call it a day and retired on us this summer, he is the professional in the tropical fish shirt. We had a little party to wish him well on his future endeavors or lack thereof...
We took our first mini break of the summer with a trip over to the Mouse House to spend time with the Massachusetts part of the family... First stop was a luau over at the Polynesian.
A trip to Orlando would not be complete without a visit to Downtown Disney Marketplace...
And the weekend could not be complete without a Character Breakfast...

Then....a couple weeks later, a very small fraction of the Chicago part of the fam came to represent.
Jake came down to celebrate his 13th birthday with us, and a couple of new friends ;)

Worked up quite the appetite with all of that bowling... off to T-Rex we go...

Now that he's officially a teenager (wow, when did that happen?)...it's Universal Studios, not Disney.
Quite the birthday celebration, two weeks with Gram, Papa, Aunt Debbie & Uncle Jorge and a stop at one of his fave restaurants at Universal, Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville @ CityWalk...
The summer has flown by, hard to believe we are heading towards the end of August already. What a treat to be able to do some fun things this summer with family. Good Times!
